People who say that appearance doesn’t matter are, quite frankly, lying. At least when it comes to business.

I’m not saying that what’s on the inside doesn’t matter more - ultimately, it does. But considering the fact that you’ve already been completely assessed and judged in the business world…

I’m pretty sure that this is how I got a job as a manager- even though the dress code is casual, I was and am rarely without a collared shirt. It makes a difference.

This is a plus size model posing with a “regular” size model.
Sometimes my friends will ask me why I don’t model professionally. I tell them that I’m not tall enough or skinny enough, and they roll their eyes.
The truth? I am a size 6.
And in the modeling world, I would be considered plus size.
Size 6, 9, 10, 12 - it doesn’t matter. If you take care of yourself and love who you are, no one has the right to tell you that you aren’t beautiful enough.

Am I arguing that girls and women shouldn’t be held responsible for their behavior? Not at all. If a woman drinks to excess, then falls over in the street, loses her wallet and vomits all over her shirt, she has only herself to blame. But rape is not a consequence of getting drunk. It’s a consequence of a man deciding to rape someone.

yes.  and…let’s remember that women and girls are not the only people who get raped and men are not the only people who rape.

Would it be fair to say that rape victims who are intoxicated are as responsible as mugging victims who are intoxicated, but with far more serious consequences?
